The file selection dialog box now appears as shown below.

Next make sure to name the file and select a location to store it.

  • Setting: Current Settings

  • Include: Audio and Video

  • Markers: If you have Chapter Markers in your project they can be included here, otherwise select None

Leave the "Make Movie Self Contained" box unchecked. This will create a reference file which uses very little space and is quick to compile. If you plan on moving your movie file to another hard drive then you must select the "Make Movie Self Contained" option. A reference file will not play without all of the media clips to which it is referenced.

Drag and drop your QuickTime file into Abaltat Muse and begin composing royalty free soundtracks to match.

From Media 100

Next make sure to name the file (Save As:) and select a location (Where:) in which to store it.

Selection:

Select the options which relate to your video clip from those outlined above.

Export to:

Self Contained Movie: This will export a movie file which can be opened in QuickTime.

By-Reference Movie: This will export a reference movie file which can be opened in QuickTime. This is the fastest export option but is only recommended if you are using Abaltat Muse on the same hard drive as your Media 100 application, as a reference file will not play without  all of the media clips to which it is referenced.

Other: There are more export options here. Scroll down to the “QuickTime Movie” option.

When you have chosen your preferred export option click “Export”. Each file type can be opened in QuickTime by dragging and dropping the file on to the QuickTime application.
